Former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris are debating their visions for the nation and economy in a 90-minute face-off hosted by ABC News at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia.
CBS News' Confirmed team is fact-checking the candidates’ statements. Trump falsely claimed that Harris’ running mate, Gov. Tim Walz, supports late-term abortion and post-birth "execution," despite infanticide being illegal and late-term abortions being rare and medically necessary.
Trump also misleadingly stated Harris would ban fracking in Pennsylvania "on Day One," though Harris has clarified she would not ban fracking as president.
Lastly, Trump falsely claimed Harris buses and pays people to attend her rallies, an accusation without evidence.
